Errant
A poem
A photograph
A vertical strip with
five boys sitting under the sun of
four o'clock
the bright yellow making their
brown skin shine
under the autumn sun
of March
their shadow
of heavy contrast
locating where they
stand
A parade of some sort
with boys and girls moving as they please
until the sun is down
and up again
a heavy breath
a single tear
a fading vignette
in white
time running through the fingers
a lost memory trapped
inside a child's mind
that comes back
silently in a dream
Blue stands out
and yellow
and brown
and wires
and passes
and costumes
and drums
and IDs
and smiles
and alcohol
and dances
and serpentine
and more
A poem
A photograph
A wanderer
walking their single path
celebrating what
has
been lost
